About Travel with Spanish
Travel with Spanish was created to promote the study of the Spanish language by cultural and educational exchange with Latin America. We assist students, professionals, adults, and anyone interested in studying and/or volunteering in Latin America to find the right Spanish programs and meaningful volunteer opportunities. With this purpose, we traveled within Latin America visiting Spanish schools, attending their classes and participating in activities organized by the schools to short list the schools who can best serve your needs.
We work with accredited Spanish schools in Mexico, Peru and Ecuador and offer a wide range of Spanish courses tailored for beginners to advance levels; flexible course length starting every Monday – for one week to a whole semester[1]. We also offer Spanish courses that are industry-specific (e.g., medical, science, tourism…etc.).
We offer our students the flexibility to study in multiple cities (example Cusco-Quito or Quito-Cuenca, etc.) or outside the city like in the Ecuadorian jungle. Our programs go beyond the classroom by providing options of taking painting classes with a Peruvian artist in Cusco, learning to cook traditional Mexican food or attending concerts or salsa lessons…etc. We are committed to facilitating language acquisition and providing the students with multiple opportunities to practice the language inside and outside the classroom.
The students have the choice of taking: Spanish lessons and volunteer; solely volunteer; Spanish lessons and traveling; group/private lessons, etc. It is our experience that each student learns at a different rate and has different needs and interests. We offer ability to personalize program to meet each student’s interest and needs.
Cultural exchange: learning a new language goes hand in hand with learning the local culture. Studying abroad provides you the opportunity to interact daily with the locals and learn about the life style, idiosyncrasy, ancestry, food, etc. of your host country. These experiences develop your ability to adjust to different life style and appreciate different cultures. In addition, you will be studying alongside classmates from different countries and backgrounds, sharing a common interest to learn the Spanish language.
In addition to studying, Spanish students can take advantage of the multiple volunteering opportunities[2]: helping children with disabilities, teaching English, organic farming in the Andes, conservation and agriculture in the Galapagos, supporting medical centers in rural areas in Cusco, promoting the preservation of the flora and fauna of an ecological reserve in Cusco …etc. The volunteering programs are for people with all levels of Spanish language proficiency.
Travel with Spanish is a socially responsible organization, we participate in community services, support initiatives on sustainable development. We work with like-minded schools.
